The Robotics Club at Iowa State University is focused on bringing the technical knowledge and interest in robotics to students at Iowa State University. We participate in competitions and outreach events at local schools. There are currently three competing teams in Robotics Club: EXOSuit, Autonomous Snowplow, and Battlebots. EXOSuit is focused on creating a lower-body exoskeleton for the Applied Collegiate Exoskeleton Competition (ACE) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Autonomous Snowplow is working on improving their existing robot for the ION Autonomous Snowplow Competition in St. Paul, Minnesota. Battlebots is building a new robot this year that improves on the weaknesses of the previous robot, Bulkhead. The regional competition is in Kansas City, Kansas. Money raised will be used toward purchasing parts for these projects, as well as funding travel and lodging during these exciting weekends.
