The ISU Graphic Design Graduating Class of 2020 is raising money to expand the reach of their ISUGD Senior Show.
Each year the students create their semester-long capstone projects as part their final senior studio course. These projects are self driven, heavily researched, and executed at the highest levels each year. The ISUGD Senior Show at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines has been a fantastic platform for students to share their work with the broader Midwest Design community. We also want to alleviate some of the financial burden such a large scale exhibition can place on the students. This year's graduating class from the Graphic Design department is 74 students strong.
For 2020, we want to expand this reach by documenting and sharing the entire capstone experience with the broader national and international design community.
Here’s what we want to do:
Create a comprehensive documentary film about the entire capstone process, including the senior show. The Iowa-based video company JABbernouth Media is already on board if we raise the money!
Create and produce a printed senior publication that would feature each student’s project. We’re targeting a printing of 500 copies.
We also want to offset venue costs to help get access to Wifi, the sound system, projection equipment, and electricity.
So, can you help us elevate the visibility of the amazing work being created by the ISUGD graduating class of 2020?
