The Hixson Opportunity Awards program is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year! Since the program's beginning in 1995, 100 scholarships have been awarded annually to Iowa State University students, with one recipient coming from each county in Iowa and two recipients from Polk County, and there are currently over 1,650 Hixson alumni! This program was established thanks to the generosity of Christina Hixson, who believes that "extraordinary things are done by ordinary people, given the chance."
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the program, continue to provide Hixson Scholars with these life changing experiences, and to thank Christina Hixson for her years of inspiring and advancing students, we are asking alumni, friends, and supporters to make a gift! Your generosity will help us continue to support these students and the Hixson Opportunity Awards.
