Generous Donors and Supporters of Engineers Without Borders at ISU,

We want to thank you again for your generous donations to the Phase One of the Clinic in Ghana. You are truly making a difference in Ullo, Ghana's community, and Engineer Without Borders (EWB) values your support tremendously.

EWB has been working hard since fall of 2020 to design, plan, and collaborate with local entities to build a clinic in the northwestern region of Ullo. We appreciate each one of our donors, and we would not be where we are without your support.

So, what have we been up to this past year? Despite being unable to travel due to the pandemic, KNUST (EWB's partners in Ghana) has still been able to travel to Ullo and collect valuable data, such as information about nearby wells and the overall land, and meaningful progress has been made. The travel team also met with the Ghanaian Health Ministry, who expressed their total commitment to our project. The project is now fully underway with a multi-phase layout and models built on information the travel team brought back from the Ullo community. The travel team also met with a contractor while in Ghana and was able to see some of the work they have done. The travel team was impressed with the quality of their work, and we are looking to secure this contractor for the clinic project. Our clinic groups also determined a breakdown of four implementation phases for this project, spanning four years to build. Covid-19 permitting, we will be sending another team to Ullo, Ghana this winter break to start the Phase One that you helped make possible in the following spring!

To continue the work started with Phase One, we are launching a 2021 FundISU project! The funds for this campaign will be used as part of the financing of the second phase. Phase Two is very involved, so EWB is planning ahead, knowing the second phase will take longer to build.
