CyLaunch Update 4/9/22

April 09, 2022

Hello CyLaunch friends, family, faculty, team members, and alumni,

Last weekend CyLaunch had a successful launch in North Branch, Minnesota! This launch served as a payload demonstration and a vehicle demonstration re-flight. During the launch, the rocket reached 5,550 ft. Additionally, the payload performed as designed. During the flight, it sent a signal to the ground station before landing. The laptop at the ground station received the proper grid coordinates that the rocket landed in. So overall the launch was a major success!!

After the launch, the team worked together to write another report for NASA. The score we received on this past report is the highest score Cylaunch has received this school year! This is a huge success for the team that has not participated in the NASA Student Launch Competition in several years.

We have been blown away by the support we have received from all of our donors! We have received so many generous donations so quickly and we are very close to reaching our goal. Because of these donations, the team is able to attend the competition!

Thank you so much to everyone who has given their support,

from everyone at CyLaunch

CyLaunch Update 3/20/22

March 21, 2022

Hello CyLaunch friends, family, faculty, team members, and alumni,

This year's CyLaunch team began in August 2021 with the beginning of the school year. Since then the team has constantly been at work designing the rocket, working on NASA's internal deadlines and requirements, assembling the sub-scale and full-scale rockets, and finally now working on improving the final rocket. It has been a busy adventure. Currently, our next milestone is presenting the FRR (Flight Readiness Review) to NASA on 3/22.

In today's update, we'd like to share some photos from the full-scale launch that happened last month:

If you'd like to see a video of our launch click here. Overall it was a long weekend for our members who attended the launch site in North Branch, MN but it was a successful weekend as well. We are so grateful to have such awesome team members who go above and beyond! Our next launch is planned for this upcoming weekend 3/26 where we hope to fly the full-scale rocket again.

Thank you all for your continued support for CyLaunch. Your donations and support are so meaningful and we are looking forward to sharing more of the project with you.

Best wishes,

from everyone at CyLaunch
