The ISU Graphic Design Graduating Class of 2023 is raising money to expand the reach of their ISUGD Senior Show.
Each year, the students create their semester-long capstone projects as part of their final senior studio course. These projects are self-driven, heavily researched, and executed at the highest levels each year. The ISUGD Senior Show at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines has been a fantastic platform for students to share their work with the broader Midwest Design community. We also want to alleviate some of the financial burdens such a large-scale exhibition can place on the students. This year's graduating class from the Graphic Design department is 70+ strong.
For 2023, we want to expand this reach by documenting and sharing the capstone experience with the broader national and international design community as the world is recovering from the recession.
Here’s what we want to do.
Create a comprehensive documentary film about the capstone process, including the senior show.
Create and produce a printed senior publication that would feature each student’s project. We’re targeting a printing of 500 copies.
We also want to offset venue costs to help access Wi-Fi, the sound system, projection equipment and electricity.
