Grazie mille!

October 19, 2023

Our 2023 Rome Program FundISU campaign raised $2,750 from 24 donors. Thank you to all who helped support this campaign with your generous gifts and by sharing the opportunity within your networks!

Your contributions will help more College of Design students travel and study in Rome, utilize local transportation to get to their classes and visit Italian museums, design centers and historic landmarks throughout Italy. Students will have the means of obtaining materials needed to create their best work and hear from guest speakers on the latest trends in art and design.

Your gifts will also help ensure the Rome Center is vibrant for years to come.

We're so grateful to all of you! Grazie mille!

Sophia's Story

October 02, 2023

For Sophia Allen, the new design perspectives and methods she learned during her semester abroad challenged her to reimagine her own.

Allen, a fifth-year architecture student from El Paso, Illinois, was captivated by the ancient Roman and contemporary Italian architecture and design she studied in Italy last spring with the College of Design Rome Program.

"Being introduced to the Italian approach to architectural design also encouraged me to view design in a different way and have a more rounded, holistic way of thinking," she says.

You can help more students like Sophia expand their design experiences through support for our FundISU campaign. With the generosity of 14 donors, we've raised $850 so far – thank you to all who have contributed! If you haven't had a chance to do so already, please consider making a gift now, and help us reach our $3,000 goal.
