Engineers’ Week is a student organization in the College of Engineering at Iowa State University. We are dedicated to supplying educational and social programming that supports student professional skill development, student/faculty engagement, and social opportunities to increase student interactions across 15 academic engineering majors. We have events offered in the fall and spring semesters, culminating with National Engineers Week held in February. We have an executive team of 18 students who coordinate planning annually, with many student volunteers aiding with annual program delivery.
This past year has been amazing! As a team, we set record attendance at nearly every event we hosted. 2024 Engineers’ Week had over 5,000 participants, and next year we predict even more students and faculty will get involved! Our annual button sales sold out two weeks before the event! We also hosted our second annual Mario Kart tournament, Game Watch Night, LEGO Competition, Trivia Night, and a Dodge Ball Tournament during Engineers’ Week. We hosted events outside the official week, including our annual Pi Mile Run, Golf Tournament, Midnight Breakfast, and company Tech Talks. These events are made possible through the generous support of individuals like you!
We are excited to grow our programming for College of Engineering students this year. Our organization is partnering with our college’s Engineering Student Council to help explore additional events we can host in collaboration. New events will allow us to create a close-knit, inclusive environment at Iowa State University and develop students’ professional and leadership skills.
