We at the Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods and our Iowa State University–Uganda Program team in Kamuli are truly grateful to you for supporting our mission to help children stay in or return to school or vocational training. Your contributions helped us raise a total of $38,025!
Thanks to you, students and youth in the Kamuli District can activate the power of education to build brighter futures and achieve sustainable livelihoods. The funds raised will directly support critical expenses to help keep children and youth learning. Such expenses include scholastic materials, school fees, classroom supplies, boarding room essentials, and school kitchen and garden supplies.
We encourage you to stay connected with the ISU Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods initiatives by visiting our website or following us on Facebook or Instagram. Our essential work happens year-round. Financial contributions to our ongoing development efforts are continually accepted at www.foundation.iastate.edu/CSRL.
Mwebale Inho! Thank you very much!
Your support can make a meaningful impact by helping the youth of Kamuli stay in or return to school and vocational training.
Children need paper, notebooks, pencils, pens, mathematic sets, school uniforms, and more. Teachers need chalk, erasers, and pens. School clubs require supplies like cloth material, scissors, sewing machines, seeds, cuttings, and baking ingredients. These resources enhance learning and help club members earn funds to offset school fees.
Thanks to our generous supporters, more children and youth can stay in school, gaining the knowledge and skills they need to build brighter and more sustainable futures.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a big impact. Donations and support ensure children and teachers have the tools to succeed.
Just four days remain to hit our campaign goal of $50,000!
Thank you for helping to make a big impact.
Many schools are without sufficient infrastructure, and there is great need across our partner schools. Pupils need access to safe classrooms, latrines, and boarding facilities. Children typically board at the school during times of more intense study, ahead of critical exams, and for safety as they may live far from the school. These children need beds, mattresses, bed nets, and blankets. School kitchens, with efficient stoves, are also needed to prepare the school lunch and any additional meals provided to the students.
Thank you for your continued support!
At times, family situations do not allow for a child to attend secondary school after graduating from 7th grade. Small scholarships to offset school fees are the ticket to keeping vulnerable children enrolled in school and truly make all the difference for a child wanting to continue.
Education is the foundation for sustainable livelihoods. Providing scholarships empowers children to pursue their education and dreams. By staying in school, youth gain the knowledge and skills needed to build a brighter, more sustainable future for themselves and their communities.
Join us in supporting the next generation. Whether you have already contributed or are considering a donation, your support is invaluable. Make your contribution before Sunday, January 26th, and help us spread the word by sharing our campaign (https://fundisu.foundation.iastate.edu/project/44955) with others. Together, we can make a lasting impact.
Mwebale Inho! (Thank you very much!)
The gardening programs work with young students– the next generation needed to help feed the world. Pupils enrolled in school garden projects and young farmer clubs receive hands-on experience, learning best practices in local food production while earning funds for school fees and scholastic materials. Participants take pride in the ingredients they help grow for the school lunch programs and the agripreneurial skills and planting materials they take home to their families and personal gardens. They learn that agriculture is cool and through their school’s agricultural club or home activities, they can earn income to offset their school fees and remain in school.
Help them and maximize your support by sharing this story and link (https://fundisu.foundation.iastate.edu/project/44955) with one or more others.
