The Iowa State University National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) Student Chapter is sending a team to compete in the student marketing competition held at the National Agri-Marketing Conference. Team members fundraise to compete at the conference, however, this year the team needs your help to cover the increased travel expenses with the conference being held in San Diego, CA.
This year’s team consists of 14 undergraduate students majoring within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as well as the Ivy College of Business. Get to know each team members by checking out our updates.
The team spends one full academic year preparing for the final competition held in April. During the fall semester, the team splits up into small groups, each tasked with developing a rough marketing plan for a new agricultural product. By the end of the semester, the team decides which group’s product they will use for the competition.
During the spring semester, the team splits up into new small groups to work on a written marketing plan, slideshow, and oral presentation. Below is an example of a written marketing plan that last year's team took to the competition. Watch last year's team present in the final round of competition at nationals in Kansas City, MO here.
Your donations will set the team members up for success in their careers and give them an experience they will never forget. Our team looks forward to flying to San Diego to pitch their final marketing plan this April. Thank you for your support!
