Kabe is a first year team member who enjoys the communication and public speaking parts of the competition.
Tayler is a first year team member who enjoys sharing ideas with other team members and learning from everyone’s experiences. She believes the market research opportunities will help her in her future career.
Ben is a second year team member. His favorite NAMA memory is exploring Kansas City with the team at last year’s conference.
We’ve raised 83% of our goal with only 7 days left! Donations close February 14th at 9:00am. The team is finishing up primary research, monitoring and measuring, promotions, a draft of the written plan and financials in class today. Next week the team will decide colors, a product name and logo and start on the components of the live presentation.
Emily is a first year team member who has a love for the research and design parts of the competition. She also enjoys the public speaking part as well.
Ryan is a third year team member who loves speaking and presenting the final plan. Ryan’s favorite memory from NAMA is overcoming obstacles during his 2nd year on the team and seeing it all pay off by making finals at nationals.
Kariann is a first year team member who is looking forward to designing the marketing plan.
“My favorite part is meeting with other peers and seeing their different talents and combining them all together to build a successful plan.”
Earlier this week, we reached 96% of our initial fundraising goal of $3,000. With two weeks left we’ve extended to $4,000. This additional $1,000 will cover registration costs for most of the team. We are so thankful for all the support!
Ross is a first year team member who has been involved in NAMA for the past three years.
“The opportunity to represent Iowa State at the national competition, present and participate in a competition, and also go through the process of starting a mock business is such an unbelievable experience.”
Rebecca is a second year team member who enjoys seeing the hard work pay off when the team gives their pitch at the conference.
“Getting on the stage, presenting, and putting my entire heart into the presentation is truly a feeling like no other.”
Clayton is a first year member who is most excited to work on the finance part of the marketing plan. Last semester, Clayton enjoyed researching cricket farming for his group’s product assignment.
Kristi is a second year team member that has attended the conference for the past three years. Last year, she attended the conference to participate in social media corps, but this year she looks forward to competing with the marketing team.
Mitchell is a second year team member who created the PowerPoint last year. He absolutely loved it and has enjoyed such projects since high school.
“My favorite memory and experience has to be going to the 2019 NAMA Nationals in Kansas City, and our team taking DigiSow to the finals and placing 5th.”
Becca is a second year team member who fell in love with presenting the plan.
“It’s cool to be up presenting your plan in front of judges and answering questions on everything you worked on all year."
Hannah is a first year team member who was recently elected as the 3rd Vice President of the club. In her new role, she serves as the liaison between the club and the marketing team.
Skylar enjoys creating the written plan because it's really gratifying to see the design bring the writing to life in the final printed version. Her favorite NAMA memory is practicing with the speaking team and ripping up her notecards before presenting DigiSow at finals last year.
ISU NAMA is officially back on campus after winter break and preparing for our national competition in April. In addition to fundraising to attend the conference, the team has begun meeting again to keep our product and marketing plan moving forward.
This week, the team is splitting up into small groups during phase 1 of second semester preparations to tackle any final project areas remaining for the marketing plan. During this phase, the team is split up into five groups: branding, editing the plan, financials, primary research, and promotions/monitoring & measuring. Teams will remain in these groups for a couple week.
