What is Sunrun?
Every spring, members of Team PrISUm embark on Sunrun, an annual, weeklong, 1000-mile trip across Iowa. The team travels to schools and community events to support STEM education, thank our community supporters, and show people the future of transportation.
Where are we going?
This year’s SunRun is from May 16-20 and will feature stops at schools in Rock Island, Coggon, Cherokee, Algona, and Denison. The team will also be visiting Girl Scouts in Bettendorf and participating in the Orange City Tulip Festival parade.
What’s the impact?
During the 2015 SunRun, Team PrISUm was able to reach 7,000 people around the state. This year, the anticipated audience is 20,000 individuals across 33 counties. Throughout the entire trip, the goal is to get people excited about STEM and renewable energy. Sunrun provides team members with a great opportunity to share their passion for sustainable transportation and inspire the next generation of bright young minds.
