The newly reborn Biosystems Engineering Club at Iowa State University is excited to be attending the Institute of Biological Engineers Conference in Athens, Georgia this April. With your support, BSE students will be able to present their research posters, network with engineers in both academia and industry, and learn about the wide range of fields that students are able to go into post-graduation.
The 2021-2022 year has been a year of new beginnings. The pandemic was hard on club membership, so as things return to a new normal, establishing a new BSE Club in order to foster community and allow our students to network with other students and alumni was essential. Currently, 25 students attend biweekly meetings and 5 students intend to travel to the IBE Conference. So far this year, we have had several great BSE alumni come speak, student research presentations, and several other fun opportunities for our students.
Your support will help to fund travel, hotel, and registration for our students. Any additional funding will be used for club use. We intend to schedule smaller industry tours around Iowa this spring including to an ethanol plant. Thank you for supporting us!!
